| My name is Doug Baker. I am the 34 year old husband of one and father of two. I got a puppy from Southern Showcase. The only problem I had with the spectacular American Bulldog, Judah, was that Dean and Rhonda Baxter's humility just DOES NOT do these magnificent animals justice. The male American Bulldog was gentle, even tempered, impeccably groomed, and perfectly healthy. You CANNOT go wrong getting a dog from these fine folks. Rev. | Dean, Sorry., didn't mean to go so long without contacting you. Bianca is just terrific!! She is sweet and lovable and has the greatest temperament. She gets along well with the "old man". They did have one territorial dispute but they are good buddies now. Bianca just loves him and tries to get him to play and rough house and some times he obliges her. She loves the kids and her and my daughter Andrea are inseparable. She is so easy to train and responds well. My Vet said she is one of the healthiest puppies he has seen. You should have seen her at the Vet's office. With all the dogs and cats, birds, and lizards that were there, she just sat down and was real calm and looked around. In fact the only time she did get excited was when she spotted a biscuit under a bench and tried to get to it. The Vet was watching her through the window , and when we got to see him he just praised her and wanted to know where we got her... Thank you again for breeding such a wonderful dog. Just a foot note., My vet asked if I was going to have Bianca spayed and I said I would probably wait until she gets a little older. He said ,and this is the first time I've ever heard a Vet say this., " You might consider breeding her at least once, because we need more dogs with this kind of temperament and people need to see this breed as it is"supposed to be" Not as it's "made out to be"!! | I am writing you this letter to let you know how pleased I am with my AB puppy, Max. What a great dog! He's smart, attentive, playful, and loves all kids. Max's temperament is second to none. He has an inward ability to discern friend or foe.In fact, the only time he barks is when something is wrong! He also has great drive in him. Believe me, when I say you will give up or give out before Max does! Everyone I meet is impressed with his build and his friendly disposition. Max possesses all the qualities that make the American Bulldog such a great dog and companion. I urge you to keep breeding such great litters and don't change a thing! Its very obvious your careful ways and watchful eye leads to top-notch puppies. Bama Boy and Honey are a fantastic match. | We bought our American Bulldog Gunther, formerly known as male #7, shortly over a year ago. We have three small children ages 3, 5, and 7 so our choice of dog was very important to us. Michael, my husband, was looking for a "tough" looking dog and I wanted a dog that would not be to rough with the kids. After all, I had to be home with him all day. My husband brought him home as a Christmas present last year for the kids and we all fell in love. As you can imagine, children those ages are very playful and Gunther had no problem fitting into our family. We have a VERY small house and he stays inside with us. We had very few problems potty training him to go outside and he has NEVER raised a lip at any of the children, even when our 3 year-old went through his biting stage, which Gunther seemed to get the brunt of. He is very laid back, but also a great playmate when he's outside with the kids. He has become a great home defender as well. We had an incident with a "peeping Tom" and Gunther was the only one aware of him at the time. It was one of the first times we had ever heard him bark, much less growl. I have been more than pleased with him. He has truly become part of the family and goes with us many places. He has a fantastic disposition and we get tons of compliments on how beautiful he is. People everywhere stop to see him and he eagerly greets them and welcomes the attention. I have told so many people about Southern Showcase and how pleased we have been with our dog. Our experience with Dean and his wife was great as well. We remain in contact and he has been there to answer any questions that I've had along the way. Veronica Tillman Mobile, AL |
| Dean How are you? I'm sending you pics of this so called working dog- aka Couch Potato-just kidding. He is a very smart, good looking dog. Hes great with the kids and I've got 6 of them so thats says allot. We named him Bruiser and everybody who sees him admires him. | Hello Dean, Hope the family is well. Sorry for not writing sooner, but my wife and I have changed careers which has taken up a good bit of our time. The good news is that I travel less allowing me to truly enjoy Chesty Puller. He is ABSOLUTELY amazing! His personality is un-flawed. He loves kids. In fact, we often take him to local activities where he sharpens his social skills. It's really funny experiencing the first reaction of parents when they encounter Chesty (they think he is a big Pit Bull), but the end result always ends with their children playing and running around with him. Get this -- we let our friends 2 month old chow/lab mix stay with us for a while. He is now 7 months and inseparable from Chesty. So, we now have two dogs. They get along great. It's funny watching Chesty play with him. He is harmless! They both love riding around with me during the weekend. Anyway, I have so many stories. We'll make plans to visit soon so you can see him. If you do not mind? Of course, his brother, Valentino, will have to join us... Thanks again for the fine job you and your family did and continues to do. It truly is reflected in our AB.
